The Public Image Clothing Clinics – Update your iamge
With over hundreds of Britons being made redundant everyday many of us will have less money to spend on new clothes, but never fear – The Dress Doctors are here! We will help both men and women create their own designer labels by revamping their clothes to change loved and trusted outfits into something bang up to date, exclusive and unique.
‘As we make up 90% of our minds about somebody in the first 5 seconds of meeting them – creating a positive image is vital’ says Diana Mather, Managing Director of Public Image Inc Ltd. Diana has been teaching people the importance of projecting the right image and making a positive impact at work for over 25 years. She has designed her own clothing range and is an expert on image, presentation skills and etiquette. She has just teamed up with Hilary Jarvis, who has worked in the field of confidence building, counselling, make-up and makeovers. Hilary has re-structured and re-modelled her own garments for decades. ‘There are 3 stages to creating a confident, positive impression. Feel good, look good then project yourself’ says Hilary ‘this is especially critical for job or appraisal interviews.’ Adds Diana ‘Both men and women feel despondent if they go to their closet and think ‘I can’t wear that again or this jacket is too tight or that suit is out of date.’
Diana and Hilary are now ready for a new challenge; to pass on their secrets to those who constantly search for a new look but don’t have the cash. ‘Something as simple as moving or sewing on new buttons can transform a jacket, never mind changing collars, cuffs or inserting panels of fabric to change a skirt’ enthuses Diana. ‘I haven’t bought a suit for over 5 years but I always have something new to wear.’ ‘We also believe in a holistic approach’ says Hilary. ‘If you don’t feel happy with yourself the clothes will never look as good as they should, so we help grow people’s confidence by helping them improve areas like deportment, hair care and make-up if they feel they need it.’
